Blurb:

I needed to get away. My ex was getting married. So, I left.
The English countryside was a picture-perfect escape. The dashing stranger an even better one. And what started as a chance encounter quickly became more.
He promised to show me how to live, how to feel alive and forget a past best forgotten. He made me believe things could be different. That was until I found out who he was . . .
He was Oliver Blackthorn. The 16th Earl of Lockhart. Thirty-third in line to the throne. And a liar.

One more changes everything...

Deceit makes you breathless and wary. You know all along there are lies. The title tells us so and yet you hope for more. The budding relationship is filled with possibilities, potential, and all the feels. It's just that niggling lying that makes it so devastating. It's easy to fall hard and fast for Olly. It's even easier to severe ties. But it's impossible to forget, it's impossible not to feel and impossible not to be broken. It's impossible to forgive. Apparently, we are all liars in this story...

I'm so frustrated after reading this story on paper it has everything I like. A cocky hero, subterfuge, a strong female character and lots of chemistry. To be fair the first 50-60 % I loved it was what I was hoping to read. It was witty engaging it had me invested and then it lost me as a reader. Things happen that I can't say as they are a big spoiler then it's resolved and we have happy ever after. Now I'm not opposed to conflict in books, in fact, I'm kind of a masochist because I love when that happens. However, I wanted more time to be spent on the reconciliation it was wrapped too quickly for me.
