#ReleaseBlitz #Reviews AMERICAN KING by Sierra Simone @jennw23 @TheSierraSimone

"Enthralling and drop dead gasp-worthy."
- CD Reiss, New York Times Bestselling Author
American King, the stunning conclusion to The New Camelot Trilogy by Sierra Simone is LIVE!!

They say that every tragic hero has a fatal flaw, a secret sin, a tiny stitch sewn into his future since birth. And here I am. My sins are no longer secret. My flaws have never been more fatal. And I’ve never been closer to tragedy than I am now.

I am a man who loves, a man whose love demands much in return. I am a king, a king who was foolish enough to build a kingdom on the bones of the past. I am a husband and a lover and a soldier and a father and a president.

And I will survive this.

Long live the king.

Absolutely stunning!

I was not previously familiar with the story that this one retells, so everything was pretty new for me. I enjoyed the fact that I had no preconceived notions of the storyline and could react accordingly throughout the experiences of his series. Being that as it may, I was doubly unprepared for the depth of emotion and vulnerability I felt while riding along this punishing journey with these characters. Their love for each other is severe and runs right down into the very fiber of their being. There really is nothing that can hinder this connection to each other. It’s a powerful thing.

Through everything that Ash, Greer and Embry endures and the shocking changes amongst them and secrets revealed, can they still come back together after everything that’s happened? What are they ultimately willing to risk?

#CoverReveal #ComingSoon ON THE WAY TO YOU by Kandi Steiner @KandiSteiner @jennw23

On the Way to You, an emotional new standalone from Kandi Steiner is coming November 16th!

On the Way to You
by Kandi Steiner

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publishing Date: November 16th, 2017
Photographer: Lauren Watson Perry with Perrywinkle Photography

What makes you happy?

That was the question Emery Reed asked me the day we met, and I couldn’t give him a single answer. I could have said my dog, or my books, or yoga — but I just stared.

And then, I got in his car.

It was crazy to take a road trip with a stranger, but after years of standing still, he was my one-way ticket to a new life, and I wasn’t going to miss it.

We shared the same space, the same car, the same hotel room — and still, we were strangers.

One day we’d be laughing, the next, we wouldn’t speak. Emery was surrounded by impenetrable walls, but I wanted in.

Discovering his journal changed everything.

I read his thoughts, words not meant for anyone’s eyes, and the more I learned about him, the harder I fell. It turned out nothing made Emery Reed happy, and I wanted to change that.

I earned his trust by violating his privacy, and as wrong as it was, it worked — until one entry revealed a darkness I never knew existed, a timer I never knew was ticking.

Suddenly, what made me happy was saving Emery from himself. I just didn’t know if I could.

[Blog Tour * Reviews] A LITTLE TOO LATE by Staci Hart @imaquirkybird @jennw23

Publishing Date: October 24th, 2017
Genre: Contemporary Romance
I wasn't supposed to fall in love with the nanny.
When my wife left, she took the illusion of happiness with her, and I've been caught in a free fall ever since. For nine long months, I've been fighting to figure out how to be a single dad, how to be alone.
For nine long months, I've been failing.
When Hannah walked through the door, I took my first breath since I'd found myself on my own. She slipped into our lives effortlessly, showing me what I've been missing all these years. Because Hannah made me smile when I thought I'd packed the notion of happiness away with my wedding album.
She was only supposed to be the nanny, but she's so much more.
The day my wife left should have been the worst day of my life, but it wasn't. It was when Hannah walked away, taking my heart with her.
Staci Staci Staci what have you done to me, you’ve swept me away on a beautiful journey with Hannah and Charlie.
This is a single parent story with a difference, Charlie was left to get on with family life after his wife walked out in him and their children. I really liked this take on the genre it really was a refreshing change to read about a man who puts everything on the line for his kids they come first in his list of priorities. Hannah is the nanny that comes into the family’s lives just when they need it most.
What did I love about the story the answer is easy I loved everything. The way the characters mesh together, the way the story develops, the children’s love for Hannah, the way Hannah’s culture is woven into the story. It’s beautifully written it’s romantic and poignant, it’s tender and passionate it’s heartbreak and healing. At time’s I felt I was right there, my heart felt like it was busting wide open with all the emotions the story provoked.
The decision to buy this book should be a no brainier because you will love every word.

So for those of you that will scratch your heads trying to remember, Elliot was Mary's sister and the female lead in A Thousand Words. If you haven't read it, you absolutely should. I can't even tell you how much other than to say Staci Hart will destroy your heart in the best of ways. Those that have read it, know exactly what I mean.
It took me a few minutes and a glimpse at my review of Thousand to remember but when the lightbulb light, I was good to go.
A Little Too Late is everything you expect from Staci Hart. It is emotional, sweet, and has you begging for more while hoping for less hurt. Be ready for a case of the feels...
Innocent beauty, harsh reminders, and reality are not the best mx. However, berries, lemon, and cheese appears to be a big seller. With my dreams of visiting this kind of bakery, i can only hope its o. the same block as Wasted Words.
I cannot tell you enough how much I loved this book, the outcome, and the high I had once I finished it.
It's word every penny even if you think it's...a Little Too Late. sigh, just sigh.

Staci Hart writes some Nanny love in A Little Too Late. Hannah didn't have much luck with her first nanny placement. The husband started to come on to her and touch her inappropriately so she bolted. Now she has been placed with Charlie Parker, a single workaholic father of two. Hannah is skittish at first, but soon warms up and falls in love with.....the kiddos. Seeing how his children interact with Hannah shows Charlie what he is missing out on. It makes him want to be a better father. Charlie's wife walked out on rack. Seeing Hannah with her children brings Charlie's ex crashing back into their lives. Does she really want back in their lives or is she just wanting to use them as pawns? Unfortunate incidents send Hannah back to Holland, but is it A Little Too Late for Hannah and Charlie? You'll just have to read and find out.
I am really into single dads right now and this book fed my addiction. I love the storyline and the connection between Hannah and Charlie. I even like Katie and her all knowing presence. I love the dual perspective because I like knowing what goes on inside both the main character's heads. I like seeing the internal struggles.
P.S. Staci should totally publish all those yummy recipes in the back of this book.
This 4 Star review is for
The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog. Enjoy!
⭐⭐⭐⭐✮

Staci Hart never disappoints! This was another beyond amazing romantic tale that reels you in and holds you captive, until the very end. I loved Charlie in A Thousand Letters, and I loved him even more in A LIttle Too Late. A workaholic single dad and his au pair...how could you not be obsessed with this story?! I loved every minute, and so will you. READ THIS BOOK!

She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. I would recommend that you read the Kingwood Duet books before this one it gives you a better understanding of the character dynamics and they are brilliant books.

So we know Cruise as King’s ‘brother’ but in this story, we really get inside his head. Although he was very present in the previous books he was an almost shadowy figure a real enigma. I was always intrigued by him, he always held himself apart from others. We meet his adopted family one word describes them dysfunctional they are a mixed up bunch that’s for sure.

Clara is a beautiful character she has the sweetest disposition, I have an image of this ethereal beauty but with a steely core. Her story is full of brutality, pain and heartache but she doesn’t potty at any of that ugliness.

We see a Cruise who’s looking for something he’s not sure what but he knows he’s not happy. The story shows that your past doesn’t have to define you that it is possible to carve out your future. There is angst but the pure tender love and the hot as heck sexy scenes make this an absolute must-read.

EXCERPT

Holy shit.

I see pink.

Bubblegum pink.

Curvy ass under a fitted skirt. Tight as fucking—good God almighty. Like a flame, I’m drawn to her. I stand, not even sure why, but I’m moving before I can stop myself following a bubblegum pink skirt that just so happens to be attached to a killer little body and a head of brown hair that flows to the middle of her back.

“Hey?” What the fuck? Why’d I yell that?

Damn. I stumble. She reaches as if she’s going to catch me before I fall. I’m falling all right, but not to the ground. I stop, standing tall and straightening my shoulders. Real smooth. I actually fucking stumble when she looks back and our eyes meet.

A halo of yellow sunshine surrounds her, an angel sent from the heavens to save me. The beauty asks, “Are you all right?”

“Me?”

A smile that rivals the heavens appears. “Yes, you.”

“I’m good, so great.”

That pretty smile grows, and a sweet giggle follows. “I’m glad.” The longer we hold eye contact, the more her composure falters, an unease entering her pretty hazels. “Okay, I should go then.”

“No.”

“No?”

“No. Stay.”

“Stay?” she asks in the same confused tone as the last question.

“Yes.” Stepping closer, I hold out my hand. “I’m Cruise. What’s your name?”

Her hand slips into mine and I’m tempted to not just shake it, but never let it go. “Nice to meet you, Cruise. If you’ll excuse me—”

That’s when I notice the books held to her chest with her other hand. “Are you a student?”

“No.” Her reply comes fast with a look of horror filling wide eyes. “I’m not. Are you?”

“No.”

The relief between us is palpable as our sighs fill the space. Her eyes glance down to our adjoined hands, my hold on her still just as firm. “May I have my hand back, Cruise?”

“Yes,” I reply, then reluctantly release her.

“I’m late for an appointment.”

I don’t want her to go. I like looking at her. I like talking to her and I really like holding her hand. She has fine features, but I can’t stop staring at her cherry-kissed lips. She turns to walk away too soon, so I call out, “Hey, I never got your name.”

“Maybe I’ll see you around.”

She’s not showy when she saunters off, but I watch rapt by every sweet sway of her hips. I find myself tugging at the collar of my shirt, that all-wrong-itchy feeling returning.

Fuck it.

I run after her.

Sidling up beside her, I keep her pace, and ask, “Why won’t you tell me your name?”

“Because you don’t need to know it.”

“I want to know it.”

She stops, and looks at me. “Just because you want it, doesn’t mean I owe it to you.”

Feisty. Getting a woman’s name isn’t usually a problem for me, but I respect her argument too much to counter with one of my own. “You’re right. Absolutely right.” This time I notice how the white sweater hugs the front of her body. Damn. I invade her personal space, captivated by her defiance. “I’ve been rude. My apologies.”

“I don’t need an apology, but I do need to go. I’m running late.” She takes a few steps away from me, but says, “Have a good life.”

My hands rise in the air, exasperated with this outcome. “You’re really not going to tell me?”

Her laughter splinters the air. “Unfortunately no. I can tell you’re the kind of trouble I should definitely walk away from. Name intact.” Quick stepping with determination, I watch as she crosses the parking lot.

Absolutely brilliant!
I love the concept of this book, giving the reader options as to which way the story could turn, but even better is getting to experience each one! I, of course, had to read each storyline and experience it all and was loving every second of it! All of the storylines are full of depth and emotion and are totally unique in their own way. I was hooked and could not stop reading until I had read it all - family vacation be damned, lol! I highly recommend this fun, emotional, hot book to all my books friends!
