[Coming Soon] HAREM OF DOLLS by HB Jasick @HB1085 @PublishingWild #TalesAfterMidnight #Excerpt

Jude Mckinley has always been a hopeful romantic,
falling hard and fast every time.
Consumed with passion, Jude would always risk his heart.
But it never lasted!
 His dolls never stayed.
In the end they always left,
but not completely...

I wake to the sun peaking in through my curtains, and lazily reach over to feel the cool vacant spot next to me. I slap my hand around the spot, feeling for the body that is supposed to be there, before jumping up quickly in a panic. Shit!

“Spencer?” I belt out hoping she might just be in the bathroom, but I get no answer. I immediately start moving frantically around the room trying to take inventory of everything around me on the floor. Please, not this one too…

I notice her bra hanging from the lamp, and her jeans on the floor. I spot one of her boots under the edge of the bed, and realize my shirt from last night is missing. I blow out a sigh of relief before something else crosses my mind and I am, once again, freaking the fuck out.

I quickly grab my boxer briefs and slide them up my legs, and rush out of the bedroom door, and down the stairs.

“Hey yo, Spencer!” I shout again as I approach the end of the hall. Still nothing. Where could she have gone? She’s not even wearing pants?

I swiftly jog down the stairs, taking them two at a time. My heart rate picks up, and it has nothing to do with my quick movements. My mind is racing with fear. This one can’t leave too, we just started dating!

Spencer and I have always been nothing but friends for years, ever since we met in college. About four days ago we were hanging out at a local pub when she surprised me by admitting to me that she was interested in being more than friends, and I had to admit that the feeling was mutual. We agreed to go on a date to see if this was something we actually wanted to pursue. One thing led to another, and she ended up back at my place with her legs wrapped around my face. I usually don’t bring my dates back home on the first date, but this is Spencer we are talking about. I really liked Spencer, and I really hope she doesn’t choose to leave like all the others.

I start calling out for her again, and that’s when I hear it. The sound of a gasp, and what appears to be something shattering and splattering across a marble floor. I take off at a run towards the back of the house, and stop abruptly, finding Spencer. She’s frozen in place and staring straight into a room I was hoping to not have to explain for a while, or ever. Fuck!

Not again…
