After an unexpected twist of fate, All-Star catcher Easton Wylder is left questioning the loyalty of everyone around him. Even the woman who shares his bed, Scout Dalton. But if Easton thought being uprooted to the last place he expected was the only challenge life had to throw at him, he was dead wrong. With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything – Scout’s love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he’s never been able to overcome. The secret he’s never shared with anyone. He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he’s hell-bent on proving his worth no matter the cost.
There is no excuse for not reading The Catch...unless you need to "catch" up with The Player first. Easton Wylder is a must on every book boyfriend aficionado list. (So I collect them- I'm a connoisseur.)
So read The Player and hold on to your hearts because he is a darn good player. Easton will steal it without you realizing it. Be ready for every emotion that will hit because they come hard and fast. Once you get over the shock, you will scramble for The Catch.
The Catch with its equally succinct title will hit you with a curveball. Maybe it's a sidewinder...then the beaning you're going to take will be a enough to knock you off your equilibrium. K. Bromberg does not allow for any healing to the reader. No she keeps you scrambling for purchase like a ball player in a downpour. Slippery grass, dirt that sucks you in like quicksand...leaving you filled with doubt and shaking your head.
I knew at halfway through that this game, this player, this catch...would definitely be a life changer. I may still be in shock but the tears I'm crying are accompanied by a smile. It was an absolute joy to love Easton Wylder. The fangirl in me will be looking out for jerseys, baseballs, and a signed copies of these books.
Don't hate The Player, hate the game...sorry I had to throw in a cheesy line. This duet is one of those that you will buy the ebook, the paperback, and then hunt for an memorabilia that comes out. It's the perfect amount of sassy, fun, and sweet with downright naughty but it also touches your heart and makes you feel like one of the team.
So I will take one for the team...Easton I will hold you up and take care of you. Forget Scout...(yeah, didn't think so...)
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

✨WOW WOW WOW✨
The conclusion to Easton and Scout's story is here and it is everything I wanted and more. The couple have fought to be together working through all of Scout's insecurities but I will admit at the end of book one I was full of doubt for them as a couple but I couldn't help feeling betrayed by her actions and my poor Easton the rug was pulled from under him. This Instalment sees them dealing with more both personally and professionally. However we see two people who deal with everything so differently this time, they meet the challenges head on, they talk things through and we see them grow as a couple. I love them together as much as Easton protects Scout she does it right back, you better look out for her fiery side if you go after her man❤️The epilogue was simply perfect I read it more than once because it made me smile so hard.

Synopsis
Mila
“Don’t let go.” Those were my first words to him, as I hung over the side of a London bridge. The words I would soon say again, in a moment that didn’t involve bridges, but something much more fragile: my heart.
He held onto me for three weeks, in a time when I needed to be held. Needed to connect to someone who understood how loss tunneled unrepentantly through the fabric of your soul.
Although he said he'd stay, we both knew he wouldn't. I had already survived one loss—I didn't know if I'd survive another.

Ames
She spun into my life like a tornado of smiles and chatter and everything else I'd long avoided, with a persistence that I admired, albeit begrudgingly. She broke down each neat wall I’d constructed without even trying. Her presence alone caused me to remember what it felt like to smile, to look forward to what the day would bring.
But it was only supposed to last three weeks.
“Don’t let go,” she’d pleaded.
I’d promised her I wouldn’t—but I would. I didn't have a choice.

I'm ashamed to say this is the first book by this author I've read despite having some of her books on my kindle a situation I will be rectifying. Prepare yourself before you start this story because your emotions will be flip flopping from one extreme to the other. The start had me apprehensive, I thought I knew what was going to happen but I was so glad I was wrong. Mila and Ames are two people who's lives have been put through the wringer, initially drawn together threw shared experiences something starts to form between them but how do you let go of fear and learn to love again. I can't explain how much I loved this story it's sad, it made me happy it has a positive message about moving forward abc never giving up.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm a sap. If you read a bunch of reviews you will see the words tears, cried, and sobbed. It's not often you hear me talk about the weight of the words in a book though. The title has a very intense meaning. It will both warm and squeeze your heart at the same time.
I don't know if having kids or losing my brother makes me more susceptible to be the emotional mess I am today but I know that not every story can make a person cry. I know that this book will make a lot of people cry.
I think the absolute most emotional single line in the book was: “Because I didn’t want you to be alone.”I couldn't handle the absolute rawness- it's actually making me tear up again.
Some people can write books. Some can write a story that means something to one person. Some people can move others through a story. Some have the ability to transport their reader into a world of their own making and leave them back outside their own front door after shaking their heads. Ms. Barbetti can do it all. It isn't the first time she left me reeling and I know it won't be the last.
 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I fell in love with The Weight of Life by Whitney Barbetti. This is the first book by this author that I have read. I love when books give me a roller coaster of feels and this book did just that. My emotions were all over the place but exactly where they needed to be. I went from giddy and actual hand clapping (Yeah, I love it when books make me this excited!) to sad and tearful to hopeful and back again. Both Mila and Ames have been dealt crappy hands, but they understand each other's hurt like no one else could. Fate brought them together for a reason. Can love withstand this or will their hearts remain an ocean apart? I literally could not put this book down. That is how good is was. Pure romance at its best. It gives you hope that you can love after loss. This 5 Star review is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood.

Synopsis
Declan James was the perfect guy. He was sweet. Charming. Caring. Until he wasn’t. Fourteen years ago, his actions tore apart my family. He ruined my sister’s life and nothing was ever the same again. But now, more than a decade later, he’s back. When he walks into my office, asking for my help, I’m shocked, but nothing prepares me for what I’m about to learn. I see how far he’s gone to redeem himself and I know that he’s changed. I also know that, as a priest, he’s more off limits than ever. If I help him, my family will never forgive me. If I fall in love with him, I will never forgive myself.
This book had me at hello. Immediately after reading the Prologue, I ran into the other room and told my husband all about it. It grabs you, and it's tragic. Everything bad that could possibly happen, does in the first few pages. You move onto chapter one thinking, "how do these characters go on form here?" Fast forward several years later, and life hasn't exactly gotten better, but it has moved on. You are thrown right into another impossible and tragic situation. Hannah must try to help someone that can't help themselves. This brings us our main man, Declan. Declan and Hannah have a very tragic and unforgivable interwoven past. That past makes the rest of this story amazingly angsty and complicated. I am a total sucker for angsty and complicated stories. If it looks like there is no way out, then sign me right up! These characters feel real, their emotions are raw, and the situations are believable. Throw in some taboo, and you have hit gold. this story was fantastic! It will frustrate you, and draw you in all at the same time. Prepare to feel right along with both Declan and Hannah, because this is a duel perspective story. I highly recommend this book to all my angsty forbidden story junkies out there. This book is worth every minute you lose while reading it. This is my second Missy Johnson, story, and I am anxious to get my hands on the next one!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Father forgive me for I have sinned. I'm not even Catholic, but I might need to hit the confessional and say a couple Hail Mary's after reading Absolution by Missy Johnson. This book is so wrong it's right. A HOT priest and a social worker, both their worlds were rocked the same night 14 years ago. A tragic event brings them together again after all these years. A shared past can only mean one of two things: their past will wedge further between them or it will bring them crashing together. I love Missy Johnson's writing and the dual perspective that she uses. I like seeing the internal struggles. I was hooked the moment I started reading and I couldn't put it down. The plot and all it's twists were amazing. I absolutely loved this book. This 5 star review is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Some books are all pleasure and happy feelings and some are a mix of pleasure and pain and I think that describes this book perfectly. Missy is an author who always puts her readers through the wringer emotionally, she takes our minds on a journey where we are at war with our hearts and our heads. Declan and Hannah are connected by a past that is full of tragedy when they come back into each other's lives all the pain and hate is palpable, it practically leaps from the page Hannah works in Child Protection and when dealing with her latest case her paths cross with Declan. I think the author did a great job showing the realities of Hannah's job. Declan is a man who became a priest to atone for a mistake in his past, did he do it for the right reasons absolutely not but I could understand his reasoning. Despite their obvious failings I really liked both characters they are both very complex people who want to make a difference even if it's at the cost of actually living their lives. It's a story that at times is hard to read but it's one full of hope for the future
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

When not spending time with her husband of twelve years and two adorable children, she’s active on social media connecting with her readers. She looks forward to the day when she will see one of her titles on the big screen. You can easily find K Webster on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Goodreads!
Ker Dukey: My books all tend to be darker romance, edge of you seat, angst filled reads. My advice to my readers when starting one of my titles…prepare for the unexpected. I have always had a passion for storytelling, whether it be through lyrics or bed time stories with my sisters growing up. My mum would always have a book in her hand when I was young and passed on her love for reading, inspiring me to venture into writing my own. I tend to have a darker edge to my writing. Not all love stories are made from light; some are created in darkness but are just as powerful and worth telling. When I’m not lost in the world of characters I love spending time with my family. I’m a mum and that comes first in my life but when I do get down time I love attending music concerts or reading events with my younger sister.

I'm going to lose everything.
THE KING is the first book in the new Masterpiece duet about risking your heart and finding yourself. It's a spin-off from the USA Today bestselling trilogy but can be read separately.
I never know quite what I'm going to get when reading a book by Skye but I do know I'm never going to be disappointed. We start the story finding out how Damon and Penny meet when they were children, it all seems very pure and innocent. Next we move to the future and we meet the devil incarnate Damon's father Johnathan Scott, this is where the authors words are used to devastating effect. Skye very easily paints the multi faceted elements of Johnathan's personality perfectly, we feel the evil pouring off him when he goes to the diner Penny works at he really is a crazy scary dude. Penny may be young but it when you learn her back story seems like she has lived a thousand lives in that short time. However she's no victim she's strong and courageous even if she makes some dodgy decisions. Damon is an enigma, his outside facade is one of a tough businessman who no one questions but with Penny he's different he's protective and almost tender. Set against a backdrop of gambling we see what the addiction has done to Penny's father and subsequently her whole life. Every decision that Damon forces her to make is a gamble but will that the final gamble at the end of the book finally break their budding relationship? I can't wait to get my hands on book 2
