Review Spotlight for STAND by A.L. Jackson

A Bleeding Stars Stand-Alone Novel

Don't miss out on the unforgettable romance readers are raving about!

After reading this I was a broken, sweaty, emotional, crying mess, the author took my heart gave it a shake and cracked it wide open. I knew this was going to be a hard book as it's the last in the series, but I never could have imagined the story the author gave us. This is Zee's story the drummer who took his brother's spot in the band, and Alexis, the girl who he meets when he comes to her rescue one night. I never could have imagined the heartache that Zee is hiding from everyone. His pain leaps from the page. One fateful decision Zee made has given him years of turmoil and guilt. My heart broke for him. Alexis is a woman struggling with everything life has thrown at her. She has guilt of her own but it's a burden she shouldn't bare. The chemistry and connection between them is obvious from the moment they meet. They are like magnets - both drawn to each other. Zee's life is complicated and he knows he shouldn't get involved with Alexis but neither can resist the other. There is plenty of drama but there is passion love and most of all acceptance.I'm sorry this is the end of the series but the author went out with a bang.

I am always always always a sucker for a Rockstar. AL Jackson brings us back to the band Sunder in her latest release Stand. It is the story of Zachary aka Zee. This 5 star review of "Stand" is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog.
Zee has always been level headed. He has always put Sunder and his band mates first. His love life is nonexistent. That is until he comes to the rescue of a beautiful young woman being viciously attacked. Alexis can never repay this kind stranger for what he did for her. Or can she? Can she bring Zee's heart back to life. Can she turn him into her Forever kind of guy?
"But how did you repay someone when you owed them your life?"
AL Jackson has done it again, such beautifully written words. If Sunder were real I would buy a ticket in every city they play. I truly can't get enough of these hot broken rockstars and the women that make them whole again. I love the dual point of view and the insight it gives to both H/h.
If Stand is your first book you have read in the Bleeding Stars series, you must go read the others. Like right NOW! They are so worth it. Reading them in order of release is not necessary as they are interconnected standalones. Each book is the story of a different member of the band Sunder. Enjoy!

Oh my, oh my, oh my!
Somehow I never got the significance of Bleeding Stars, maybe I missed the wrong books (I need to catch up), maybe it wasn't expressed before...but WOW!

As usual AL Jackson made sure that there is no possible way you can make it through this book without tears. No way you won't die a little bit on the inside. She made sure that you ached with loss, fear, and heartache. I may have suggested she was being mean, but really it's a gift.

My favorite stories are the ones you connect with, feel, and hurt with. When characters consume your thoughts long after their story is done, that is magic. The Bleeding Stars series is nothing but magic. Sunder feels like my home away from home...if I knew a bunch of ridiculously hot rock stars and hung out with them.

Stand is Zee's story. It's a convoluted mess of secrets, shame, and longing. I guess we should have expected nothing less from the straight and narrow addition. I was surprised. Zee was like my little brother and to see his flaws, faults, and shame. I just want to snuggle him more. I know you will too.

Before I go and mourn another ending and start up a petition for another Bleeding Stars book, I want to share a quote that made me want to hug my own insides. The whole scene would be spectacular to share but this line alone rocked me to my core...
"Maybe you've just forgotten how to wish."

It's a simple truth and a poignant one.
AL Jackson never forget how to wish...
