I love the whole concept of this series, when the gods are bored they play a game with two mortals but this one has been my favourite.
Josie is a woman you will admire she’s a tough PI who’s had two heartbreaks two many. Jon is the man she loved but he left without a word then her partner/ best friend is murdered. Jon comes back to a Josie who’s only focus is catching a killer but Jon wants a second chance.
I really enjoyed the thriller element of this story, it was fast paced edge of your seat reading. Then we have the conflict between Artemis and Aphrodite with tensions simmering below the surface. Another dimension to the story is loyal Heff who’s unrequited love for Dita made me sad but I like an underdog so I’m rooting for him.  

Looking forward to the next book.

About the Author

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

The book title should have been a clue that I would cry and I did a lot I really wasn’t prepared for all the feels this book would give me. 
I haven’t read the previous books in the series but I managed to follow the story but I will be going back to read them. 
Maxwell made a mistake and he can’t let go of the guilt. Josephine has so much on her shoulders she’s struggling to live her life, family college friends there’s no time left for herself.
I really enjoyed this story but both main characters infuriated me no joke if they’d been in front of me I think I would have slapped them. They don’t talk to each other there are huge things going on and they don’t tell each other. aaaahhhShe didn’t tell him about ......He just .......
I need book two ASAP

Lucas is the next big thing he has a plan and when it falls through it brings Gillian into his life. Things aren’t east he’s the ball player and she works for the team and the rules say they can’t get together. I liked both Lucas and Gillian they don’t just jump into bed they have a sweet friendship that blossoms. Gillian has a plan for her future but is it one she really wants? There is drama but it’s emotional the push and pull of expectations over desires.For me the first part of the story was quite slow and too much time was given to explaining what happens at boot camp but the second half picked up the action.Another good book in this series of standalones.

Hot Stuff is the stereo typical hot jock who uses women for a good time but never calls...until her. But she is the coach's daughter...

Trouble with a capital T. What starts as a way to ease tension spirals out of control. (See what I did there..spirals..he's the QB. Seriously, it was cute. I'm totally unappreciated.)

Lame jokes and self-promotion aside, Hot Stuff is a slow burn with some yummy tension. It's a football story and with the matching weather here I couldn't help but enjoy it.
