#NewRelease #Review SEVER by TL Smith & Melissa Jane @EJBookPromos

Title: Sever
Authors: T.L. Smith & Melissa Jane
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: July 18, 2019

One man’s wife is another’s obsession. We had a love I thought could never be broken. But I was wrong. We weren’t as strong as our vows once promised. Dark secrets and vicious lies, they tore us apart. They cut too deep, leaving open wounds. Pain is something that should never come from the man you love. Forgiveness, understanding, tenderness, yes. But never pain. But the fact remains. He is my husband and I am his wife. Perhaps he should have remembered that a year ago when he committed his first sin against our marriage. And perhaps then, I wouldn’t have fallen for the devil. A devil who had me in his sights from the very beginning. A devil who swore to never let me go.

Well, what a total mindfuck. A marriage in crisis and a new intriguing man on the horizon. I thought I had this one figured out m. Silly me !! I should know by now these authors like to trick tease and manipulate their readers. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. Then boom.... yeah I didn't see that coming.

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf? I couldn't help but to sing that song...Lil' Red Riding Hood by Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs while I type this.

"Who's that I see walkin' in these woods?
Why, it's Little Red Riding Hood
Hey there Little Red Riding Hood
You sure are looking good
You're everything a big bad wolf could want
Listen to me
Little Red Riding Hood
I don't think little big girls should
Go walking in these spooky old woods alone..."

It's a completely accurate depiction of everything this book is. I still can't decide if I am angry at the way it ended or that it's over. I can say follow your gut and don't let the wolf lead you to your demise. I ignored all my instincts and am now a mess. I've been ravaged by the wolf and left bereft. Everything I thought I wanted is everything I will never want again.

Enjoy your walk through the woods but don't let him lead you astray.

Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
