It's either magic or psychic abilities that has Kennedy Ryan stealing my thoughts, feelings, and internal dialogue. I'm not sure yet which one but I will say her uncanny ability to dive into the core of a character and make them be the reader- any reader, every reader, while still being that character true to themselves- is the reason I can't stop reading her books.

Her development and character growth is demanding and a has a vacuum effect on the reader- it sucks you in. Unable to separate personal insecurities from that of the character, or really identifying on a completely and totally on the same level, is what makes her books "unputdownable". (It's totally a word.)

Her driving characters and intense real life situations make her books a real escape to hold, cherish, and explore. Not one to beat around the bush, Kennedy Ryan makes it hard to read and even harder not to.

Block Shot has some amazing quotes to set the mood. It has some of the most challenging characters and a situation I would not envy but it has a smile inducing effect on the reader. A hearts and flowers happy glazed look followed by sadden gaze into the future that reflects everything Banner is, was, and will be. These two may not "deserve" each other but they are perfect together. Learn how hard it is to fight against yourself...Block the Shot.

This author never fails to astound me with every new book they release they are always what I never knew I wanted to read.

The second book in the Hoops series brings Banner and Jared into our lives and what a rollercoaster we go on with them. The characterisation as with previous books was immense. One of the things I loved was how well I got to know them both I was totally invested in their lives.

A second chance love story that was so much more. I felt everything, the heartache and confusion the pain and the love. Banner really is a woman in a man's world I loved how empowered she was. It's research read about a strong female character who doesn't use her gender to get what she wants, we need more stories with women as role models. Jared was that perfect mix of bossy and vulnerable, so many times I wanted to reach out and just hold him.

Another story that's well written and that made me think and feel.
