Read it now:

Synopsis:

Truth: Penn Walker entered my life like a summer storm—dark, ominous, and filled with thunder.

After witnessing my husband’s murder, I didn’t have much of a heart left to offer a man.

But Penn took it all.
Every jagged shard.
Every broken bit.
Even the dirty and twisted pieces that I wish never existed.

Lie: I didn’t need him to save me.
Lie: I knew exactly who he was.
Lie: Losing him wouldn’t destroy me.

But that’s the thing about lies—you never know who to believe.

It’s official. I can expect to be no less than riveted by an Aly Martinez book. Everything I’ve read by her is absolutely amazing, captivating, and emotionally gripping. I simply can’t put her books down. Each book clearly takes on a life of its own — they’re not cookie cutter versions of the same vibe, and I dig that.

I was fully hooked on this story from the beginning — and what a tragic and heart-shredding opener it was...
The situation our main characters are in is unlike anything I’ve read before, and the plot was very hard to guess what might happen next. So many things could happen, but it was deliciously unpredictable. The danger, the painful pasts, the desperation, the secrets...

I’m not one to give you a synopsis or dissect the character development, but let me tell you that these characters will not be easily forgotten!!

The Truth About Us is just as heartwarming, wrenching, and breaking as The Truth About Lies.

Aly Martinez says I don't care how much it hurts- here's The Truth About Us. (Okay, maybe she didn't but it feels like it!)

The Truth hurts has never been more real than when reading this book. What you need to remember is that feeling the good without knowing the bad would never truly allow you the good. So once you've hit the bottom, the only way is up- right!?!

The scary part is The Truth About Lies wasn't exactly rock bottom. No, that honor goes to The Truth About Us. And boy what a truth!!!!

This book will have you fighting tears, hope, and your love for Penn. We all know it's a fight you will happily lose just like all those before you.

Now that we've covered the truth, I can't wait for the lies.

I've been waiting on the conclusion to Cora's story you need to read The Truth About Lies first.

We pick up from the devastating ending of book one with Cora confused and broken hearted. I love Cora no matter what life throws at her she stays strong for those she loves and protects. If I was ever in a tough spot she's the woman is want on my side.

Drew is an intriguing character, he's there for Cora but you feeling there is something more going on with him. Is he the good guy or is he hiding something major from them all.

This duet was full of suspense just when I thought I had it figured out the author dropped a grenade into the story. Well written story as usual from this author. Looking forward to Drew's story.

AUTHOR INFORMATION:

Originally from Savannah, Georgia, USA Today bestselling author Aly Martinez now lives in South Carolina with her four young children. Never one to take herself too seriously, she enjoys cheap wine, mystery leggings, and baked feta. It should be known, however, that she hates pizza and ice cream, almost as much as writing her bio in the third person. She passes what little free time she has reading anything and everything she can get her hands on, preferably with a super-sized tumbler of wine by her side.
