What an amazing story! I was left ragged and anxious at the end of book one, waiting to see just where this story was headed. The plot was full of twists and turns that I could not have predicted. The action and catty drama continued to surprise me and shock me as the plot thickened and the lies and secrets began to pile up. While Evan had secrets of his own, Becca's secrets and black hole of lies threatened to eat her alive. Both of them felt trapped in their different situations. The pain they both went through in pining for each other was palpable. The stress and turmoil of everything going on around them both in their lives was a physical weight I could feel bearing down on me. I really felt for them. The action toward the end was heart-stopping. I could not put this book down once I started it! I love this couple together. Evan is an amazing guy that loves with his whole heart. The way he takes on responsibility and supports his family in more ways than he should have to is inspiring.
I highly recommend this duet (Liar, Liar and Truth or Dare) to any of my readers across all genres. I think this set is a great mix of everything and would be enjoyed by all romance loving readers 💜

After the ending of book I've been desperate for this book I had so many questions that I wanted answered. There were so many twist and turns and the action doesn't let up but we get more of the story in Evan's PoV which I was so happy about because he is such an amazing young man. Becca is hurt and feeling betrayed by Evan and Scarlett and now she feels like she is totally alone again but you can tell there is more to their actions than we as the reader know. We see more of Evan's struggles his home life puts such pressure on him but the way he deals with it just made me fall in love with him more. The way he treats Becca and his little brother Eli who is the most adorable little boy that you just want to squish is truly beautiful because when he loves he loves hard. I wanted Becca to forgive them quicker but once we learned about her last I understood where she was coming from, I also liked how Evan didn't give up on her. There are twist and turns and a reveal that I didn't guess, it keeps you guessing the whole way through. The story flows naturally between all the characters and I really hope that some of the secondary characters get there own stories. This was a well written story that tied up all those loose ends.

The cliffhanger ending from the first book left my mind spinning, and I was immediately anxious for this book to come out. I needed the answers to so many questions, and I wanted a HEA! This book delivers all of that and so much more! It has absolutely everything you need to complete an already amazing story. Becca and Evan...omg, you guys...I cannot even put into words, how these characters made me feel. The emotions are strong, and you can really feel right along with the characters. I read this book cover to cover without stopping and I was constantly guessing and being surprised. The story ended exactly the way it should, and I was satisfied with the events described throughout. The characters were intense, but relatable. The story was suspenseful, and not at all predictable. I loved this story. Everyone should read this book! It has a little bit of everything. An excellent read for any type of reader. I would give it more stars if that were an option.

EXCERPT
I pushed my way farther into the thick of it, earning me a couple of hard glares from guys twice my size. Becca spun again, facing the stage, and I moved behind her, leaving only a sliver of space between us. It was perfect timing because the song ended and the band went straight into something with less base. The sea of faceless people swayed and bobbed their heads in time with the mellow beat. Becca followed them, her shoulders swinging from side to side. Her black sweater hung off one shoulder, revealing a khaki tank top underneath and milky skin just begging to be touched. Without thinking, I slid my arms around her waist and gathered her against me. Her body recoiled, and I felt Becca’s fight instinct kick in, but I held firm, dipping my mouth to her ear. “It’s me,” I whispered.
She relaxed into me and continued moving to the music. I didn’t care that I looked all kinds of awkward because it was the closest Becca had let me get since the night we’d been together. My fingers dug into her hips at the memory, anchoring her to me, but she didn’t move. She didn’t fight me off or give me hell; she just continued to soak up the atmosphere. I didn’t want to push her or be a jerk, but I was a guy, and she was here, pressed up against me, looking all kinds of hot.
Did she feel it too?
The pulse of electricity between us, the spark?
Becca hadn’t been wrong when she’d accused me of using her to forget about all the shit going on in my life, but it was more than that with us. We both knew it, and deep down, I think that was why she was so reluctant to give me a second chance.
We had a shot at something real.
Something messy and ugly and raw—and that terrified her. Hell, it terrified me. Becca hadn’t grown up in a place like Credence, but she’d ended up here for a reason. If she’d just let me in … If she’d trust me with whatever it was she was hiding, I could help. I could be there for her. Maybe that made me a selfish bastard, dragging her into my fucked-up life, but she made breathing easier. She made everything a little bit easier, and I hadn’t expected—or even wanted—it to happen, but I needed her.
I needed her more than she would ever know, so if there was even a tiny chance she would let me back in, I would take it. Starting with right now.
