New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Molly McAdams delivers the first captivating, stand-alone novel in her REDEMPTION series spin-off—the REBEL series . . .

I’m not the kind of girl you forget.

I wish I was.

I wish I was normal.

That I could blend into a crowd. Have a future with the man I’ve loved my entire life…

Maxon James understands me in a way others can’t.

For as long as I can remember, he’s vowed that one day he would claim my wild, rebel heart. God knows I wanted him to try. I wanted the life he promised me in his lyrics.

But his assurances couldn’t change the past, and the infamous mafia blood in my veins guarantees my heart can’t be claimed.

Somewhere along the way, I slipped. I let myself believe we could have it all. Now a dark, menacing shadow hovers between us, mocking us for daring to hope for a normal future.

And it’s come to collect on a blood oath.

My name’s Elizabeth Borello—Libby for short. Don’t worry about forgetting it… He hasn’t.

So glad to finally learn Libby's story! As a fan of the Redemption series, I have had a hard time saying goodbye or ignoring that I need so much more. Molly McAdams must have felt the same way because...Lyric.

Lyric is a second chance romance in a way. It's a rock star and a mafia romance book all in one. But it freaking works! It's not cliched or corny. It's serious and real in its intensity. Lyric is hopelessly romantic with darkness encroaching the happy. It's the monster under the bed.

My eager and ridiculously ecstatic self is jumping up and down because Lyric is only the beginning of this series. It means many more chances to catch up with my crew.

So good to be back with these guys and all the drama that follows them around.

Libby and Maxon are like star-crossed lovers the timing just never seems to be on their side. Libby has loved him since they were teenagers but Maxon is a rock star who’s never in one place long. They hook up when he’s hone but then go their separate ways.

Although he knows about her family he really has no idea what being part of a Mafia family entails. For her part Libby likes to live life out the spotlight she may think all the dodgy Mafia deals are over but she’s about to find out his wrong she is.

Although I loved both the characters and story they infuriated me so much. I was internally screaming at them to just talk to each other but hey it wouldn’t be such a good story without some drama.

Another great read from one of my favourite authors.

Molly grew up in California but now lives in the oh-so-amazing state of Texas with her husband, daughter, and fur babies. When she's not diving into the world of her characters, some of her hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, traveling, and long walks on the beach … which roughly translates to being a homebody with her hubby and dishing out movie quotes. She has a weakness for crude-humored movies and fried pickles, and loves curling up in a fluffy comforter during a thunderstorm ... or under one in a bathtub if there are tornados. That way she can pretend they aren't really happening.
