[Sisterhood Review Bundle] THIS IS ME, BABY by K Webster @KristiWebster

This is Me, Baby

by
K. Webster

War & Peace Series

***This is the fifth book in the series. First four books must be read first in order to understand this story line.

The game was over and they stole the victory away from ME.
Cheating. Lies. Corruption. Death.
This pawn never stood a chance.
But then he came for ME.
He plucked ME from my nightmare and kept me safe.

My heart was in tatters and my soul was lost.
Until the beast in ME woke up.
She was hungry and furious and didn’t play by the rules of their game.
We were a vicious team. And we changed the game altogether. I took what was theirs because they took what was mine.
ME against them.

That is…until I had someone else with ME.
Someone who vowed to fight alongside ME until the very end.
I don’t want the love he has for ME.
But the beast in ME still craves to take everything she deserves.
He should run far away from ME.
Instead, he runs straight for ME.

This is ME, baby and I am going to ruin them all.

***Warning*** This is Me, Baby is a dark romance. Strong sexual themes and violence, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to dark themes, then this story is not for you.

If you haven't read the series so far I highly suggest you read them all but in my opinion you really should read This isn't me, baby before this one. And if you did read that one than you most likely fell in love with Duvan. Or at least he stole my heart. Of course K Webster defied all logic and made me love this book just as much. But in her true fashion I fell for this book for completely different reasons. This series has seriously messed me up in so many different ways. This book brought back light and laughter all while still having the twists and turns we all love. The description of certain things really makes you feel like you're there or can visually see what is being talked about. K Webster has once again blown me away and here's a secret - I'm pretty sure we will be seeing more of this series. Yay!

Insanely Emotional!

Gabriella's story continues! We left the last book completely heartbroken, devastated, and confused. These feelings stay strong throughout the story as we watch Brie force herself to stay strong and move forward in order to protect herself, and the people she loves. She is faced with new obstacles, insurmountable guilt, confusing emotions and more dangerous threats that could end in even more devastation. I could not put this book down! New and old relationships come into play, loyalties change, and you are constantly left guessing on what's coming next. Truly an amazing read! The story is not over yet, however, there is more to come. I cannot wait until book six arrives!

I feel like a broken record when it comes to this series, because all I say about each book is how good it is, how the writing just gets better and better, and how the story becomes more intense but never loses focus.
Every book I think there's no way the author can top the last one and she always proves me wrong. I really loved Gabe and Ren in this one, Gabe's love for his family shines through in this book and Ren is just yummy - he's everything I thought he would be and more.
I can't wait to see what we get in the next book!

5 of 5 stars

This Is Me, Baby (War and Peace Series book #5) by K. Webster is a page turner just like the rest of the series. I practically read it in one sitting. I would have, but work got in the way. If you are a fan of dark romance then, this book is for you. It is delectably dark and sinfully sexy! This is exactly why I love K. Webster. She mixes the dark in with the romance seamlessly. Please read the warnings before reading if you have triggers.

This series last left us in Venezuela with Duvan and Heath dead. This Is Me, Baby is Brie's book. Brie is left broken-hearted and pregnant. Can Ren pick up the pieces and be what she needs? Can 18 year old Brie go toe to toe with the Columbian drug cartels and walk out alive? As usual, we are left with a cliffhanger. I highly recommend picking up a copy to find out what goes down.

FIVE BLOODY STARS!
As if it could be anything but.

K Webster never disappoints. I have read many of her books across several genres and she masters them all. Not a single story she writes is dull or slow paced or mundane. As a reader, I am gripped from the very beginning, sometimes by the throat, sometimes by the heart, but I can't stop reading! I have to keep reading, you see, because you can never guess what's going to happen! I'm one of those readers that is plotting and running through scenarios constantly because I can't help myself, but most of the time with her books I'm wrong, lol. Anyway, enough about my fangirling, on to the book talk.

I really loved this book. It was packed full of emotions and danger. Brie truly shows her claws and strong side when needed, but has a soft place to fall as well. She mourns, but slowly allows hope to flicker through.
Ren has grown into quite the protective man. He is no longer the boy that cut the grass, but his body has filled out and he has a tough edge to him.
You need to read this book ASAP to find out what has happened to Vee, Luciana, Oscar, and the brewing drug war in Columbia. What evil lies in wait? What unexpected alliances are made?

I can't freakin' wait for the next book, and because this talented author produces these diabolical tales so fast we won't be waiting long!
