I felt that the start was a bit slow, it took me a little while to get into the story, but once I did I was captivated! Shane was a great character. He's tortured by his family who are steeped in corruption, lies, and deceit. Emily comes into his life and she quickly becomes his anchor, but she's mysterious and is hiding secrets from him.
This was a story full of twists and turns that keep you guessing with superb writing. I can't wait for the next one!
