Fantasy brought to life. This book reminded me of other books but I loved the characters more than others. The heroine is a lot stronger and independent. She has a long lasting fantasy that she eventually allows her true self to indulge in. The alpha male is compassionate and loving but also controlling and demanding. The characters have a strong connection from the start. They both had issues that they need to work through. In the end, they both allow themselves to open up and show each other their true feelings and desires. Violet starts to understand that she is a strong and independent person but that deep down she wants to be in her fantasy while with Adam.

I loved the story and although I didn't like Violet's character at first, she grew on me. Her internal conversations had me laughing because I could imagine myself saying some of them. Adam is intense, driven and knows exactly what he wants, he is used to getting what he wants. The chemistry between the two of them jumps off the page. Despite Violet's innocence, she knows what she wants sexually. Can Violet deal with a dom/sub relationship and when feelings develop can Adam deal with something he never envisioned but feels so right?
I would have given a higher rating, but the similarities to "Fifty Shades of Grey" brought it down for me.

Another spellbinding read! If you haven't read the first book go do that. The first book was riveting and left you happy but with tons of questions on how everything would work out. This second book was everything I wanted and answered the questions that I had after reading the first book. But like all relationships, there will be twists and turns, hills and mountains. Can they truly survive all that life has to offer and throw their way? Will mistakes be repeated or can they change for each other? These characters truly stay with me and I can't wait for the next book. Because yes, the author loves to give us something that makes us want more and more. Violet and Adam are scorching and truly give the fantasy world a run for their money.

Violet and Adam are settling into their new lives not only as a couple, but they decide to move in together, which brings new challenges not the least of which is Violet giving into her submissive role. At times Violet was annoying and extremity immature. It was like reading about a teenager having a tantrum. I know Adam is closed off emotionally and extremely domineering and possessive, but she almost acts like this is something she is just learning. Some of the 'scenes' are almost mechanical and without feeling --it's as if they are put in as filler whilst others are passionate and intense. I hope in book three we see a more mature side of Violet and not so quick to make snap judgements in her personal life.
