He’s loved me since the day I was born.
He’s taken care of me.
He’s awakened me.
Tor. My father’s best friend.
Fifteen years older than me, he’s always been my protector.
The one I should never, ever want.
But I was born to be his.
She’s always loved me.
She’s shattered me.
She’s healed me.
Kenzi. My best friend’s daughter.
I held her the day she was born, and I never let go.
She’s forbidden to me. But she’s the only one that really gets me.
We’re slowly being torn apart by everything we love.
Everything we want.
Everything we desire.
And now I want the one thing I can’t have... I want her.

He is kind, loving, and supportive. He is best friend, champion, and hero. Tor is a protector, sounding board, and hers...
Well, she wishes him to be hers. All it takes is one choice, one moment changes everything. Once that happens, it's hard to ignore. If you try, it will leave you Torn.
Right and Wrong
Two words that are defined differently depending on who wields them. What makes either true?
This story is beautiful, confusing and hard for some I'm sure. But I found it comforting and wish every little girl had that kind of love and devotion in their lives. We might all have been better off.
Wow. Now I need to read The Ash & Embers series. I would love to see more of these characters.

I feel like I've been waiting for ever for this book to come out as soon as I saw the teasers and blurb I was hooked. To me this is a beautiful timeless love story I never once felt their love affair was wrong in any way.
Tor has been in Kenzi's life since birth and Is looked upon as an uncle they have such an intense connection, if you believe in such a thing as soul mates then these two epitomise everything those words mean. When their feelings change you can feel Tor's confusion, he's so determined to do what he sees as the right thing and Kenzi may be young but she knows how she feels and for her Tor is her one. Asher reacts just how you would expect a father up feel, the betrayal he feels is palpable, the questions he asks are exactly what I would ask.
I loved the story and how their new relationship develops, their passion for each other is red hot the characters are real and raw. It's a beautifully written love story.

Torn by Carian Cole is amazing. Definitely a 5 star read. It is so good you won't be able to put it down. Forget the dishes and laundry, they can wait. You need to go get this book NOW! I love the flashbacks and the dual perspectives.
Torn is the story of Toren "Tor" Grace, a tattooed mechanic and Kenzi Valentine, a rockstar's daughter. Tor was 15 when he first fell in love with Kenzi. It was also the day she was born. The thing is, Kenzi's parents, Ember and Asher were his best friends. Over the next 18 years Tor and Kenzi formed an unbreakable bond. Then one night things shifted and they realized they had feelings for each other. It was wrong on so many levels. Hell, he helped raise her, but the attraction was there and it was mutual. It was killing him, how could he fall in love with his best friend's daughter? He fought the attraction for as long as he could until one day he couldn't. How were they going to break it to Asher? Would he understand?
**I received an ARC of Torn in exchange for an honest review. This review is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog.
