Falling in love isn’t a crime—but falling in love with a Russian mafia boss could be deadly.
Competitive tennis player Carter Cook wants a taste of freedom. Her overprotective father monitors every aspect of her life, so when he becomes employed by Vladimir Ivanov—a sexy Russian with an array of tattoos and an accent that weakens her knees—a bit of danger is within Carter’s grasp. Behind her father's back, she enjoys spending time with Vladimir at his lavish estate. But is he really the upstanding businessman she believes him to be?
Vladimir Ivanov reigns as godfather of a Russian mafia crime ring.
Vladimir spent five years of his life in a Siberian prison camp and has earned every tattoo inked into his skin. He is a powerful man who gets what he wants, and after stalking the gorgeous tennis player for years—he wants Carter. A little charm melts her heart, and behind the scenes, he orders his henchman to track her every move.
He’s a tattooed stick of dynamite ready to blow at the slightest spark.
As their romance reaches deadly levels, Carter senses something’s not right. When she’s lured into a compromising position at the hands of a shady European drug dealer, she calls in Boris, Vladimir’s right hand man, to rescue her—without telling Vladimir. With his authority questioned, he sets out to teach Carter a lesson about loyalty she’ll never forget.
When Carter realizes she's in too deep, she must fight for her freedom before the attraction turns fatal.
But the Russian bratva plays for keeps, and Vladimir’s fierce lust to possess her spirals their romance out of control.

This story starts off with questions and definitely ends with even more. This story is mind boggling and so well written. Even after reading the full story you don't get all the answers to the questions you have. But the whole conclusion leaves you with a satisfying feeling. I can't wait to read the next book. This isn't for the faint of heart. It is a dark, thriller romance. I hate spoilers so there's not much I can say because there are so many theories running through my head. I'm hoping we will get the full truth in the next book. This was definitely packed with alpha bad boys who knew how to make you fall and pick you back up. But the question is, what is the truth and what part was all just a part of a master game? *Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood *

Ahhhh! There's a third book. No! This book was truly phenomenal. I felt it was a little more intriguing than the first book. I powered through this story because it had my full attention. I love how the story develops between Vladimir and Carter. Carter is truly one bad heroine and I love everything she stands for. Going from the troubled yet spoiled 19 year old to being thrown into a world she never knew anything about. Her loyalty is heartbreaking and truly inspiring. I cried, yelled, screamed and laughed during this book. The character development of all the characters was beautiful and captivating. This book had so many different emotions that you get loss in the story. It does end with a cliffhanger and I'm so anxious for the third book. I truly love everything about the first two books and need more. If you like dark romance, thrilling questions and so much you must read this trilogy. * Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood *
