[Sisterhood Review Bundle] LIFE AS WE KNOW IT by J.D. Hollyfield @jdhollyfield

LIFE AS WE KNOW IT
by J.D. Hollyfield

Blurb

Life has not been easy for Penelope Summers. Specifically, the last month, when her high-profile boyfriend dumped her, her indecent exposure record surfaced, and her favorite thing in the world, tequila, failed her.

Good thing for Penelope, she has her best friend to pick her up, and take her on the vacation of a lifetime. A seven-day cruise that will change the direction of her downward spiral. But will that spiral shift in the direction Penelope needs? Or will it throw her into a bigger whirlwind of trouble?

With Reckless Abandon as her motto, tequila as her wingman, and a hot one-night stand as her much needed reward, will the tables finally turn for Penelope, or will life as she knows it continue to fail her?

Sometimes you just have to ride the wave of crazy to find out.

Do you need a pick me up?
Looking for something to entertain you?
Well look no further...seriously, have you met Penny?!?

This chick is a clusterf@ck in the best way possible. From overturned chicken coops to movie star sightings in lobbies, you never know what you will get. Especially if tequila is involved, then just have your lawyer on speed dial...

Before I give you the wrong impression, Penny is a good girl. She's just misunderstood (snicker, snicker, snicker).

Please do yourself a favor, read this book. You could even skip your workout and help her chase her cat. Do the little guy a big favor why dontcha?!?

But please consider tipping your cabby after you offer to pay him by sitting on his face...What?!? I thought common sense/courtesy would know this but sadly, no.

Wild, zany and downright romantically sickly sweet with feisty and a side of bitch please all rolled in! Don't even get me started on the coolest bff and the new bestie neighbor. If it weren't for rent prices, I would consider the move.

Prepare yourself to fall into the crazy world that is Penny's life. She's clutzy, bats@@t crazy, has the best friends, and goes through life at a million miles an hour.

Penny gets dumped, so she goes on a cruise with her bestie and meets Sam ( insert swoon ) and then the fun begins.
If you're looking for a book that will make you giggle-snort loudly and that has drama as well, then buy this book. You won't regret it.

This review of Life As We Know It by J.D. Hollyfield is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog

This is the first book I have read by this author and I absolutely loved it. I give it 5 Stars, so go get your one-click on.

Life As We Know It is the story of Penelope Summers, aka Penny. Penny has a good office job, dresses conservatively, and has a serious boyfriend named Henry and is prepared to take the next step with him. However, Henry is running for the Senate and Penny just doesn't fit into his new life. She was stunned, but walked away serving hot and cold revenge. Oh, and she also takes her best friend on a cruise, a vacation that was suppose to be her and Henry's. BTW, Henry paid for that too! Anyhow, while on vacation she shared her last night on board the ship with a guy named Sam. She high tails it out of his room the next morning not thinking twice that she would ever see him again. However, that isn't what the fates had in store for Penny. I don't want to give any more away, but you definitely won't want to miss how this story plays out, especially what happens to Henry.

First thing's first, this is my first book by this author, but it most definitely won't be my last. If you want a book that seriously gets you laughing, but also gives you that drama you crave this book is it!

Penny is the main character and she doesn't always get the good end of the stick, but she makes the best of it. She takes her best friend on a cruise with her after a life altering event happens. She meets Sam and figures she'll never see him again. But as we all know fate sometimes has different plans.

This books had a lil' bit of everything and I loved it. Seriously J.D. is going to be my go-to author when I need a pick me up and a good laugh. Can't wait to read some of the others she already has out.
