BLOW by Heidi Mclaughlin

NOW AVAILABLE!

Blurb

Bodhi McKnight has always had everything handed to him on a silver platter: fame, success, money, girls. The raven-haired, blue-eyed hottie is the son of Hollywood A-listers, and when he’s asked to join the boy band Virtuous Paradox, his star shoots even higher. But so do expectations, leading Bodhi down a destructive path of addiction—until a drop-dead gorgeous guardian angel shows him her sizzling brand of tough love.

When Bodhi ends up in rehab, he doesn’t expect to meet someone as cool and down-to-earth as Kimberly Gordon. Although he’s enjoyed the company of beautiful, charming women before, none of them have tried to get to know the “real” Bodhi. But Kimberly isn’t fazed by his stardom. She’d rather go horseback riding, teach Bodhi to play guitar, or ask him about his feelings. Soon Bodhi realizes he’s fallen head over heels for her. He just hopes that he’s strong enough to protect what they have from all the pressures and temptations of the outside world.

\\ SISTERHOOD REVIEW //
by Becky Grover

This was my first time reading from this author and it will not be my last! Heidi McLaughlin clearly shows her talent in this amazing book, Blow, taking us on the journey of a young celebrity dealing with the stress and pressure of life in the entertainment industry.

I absolutely loved watching Bodhi and Kimberly connect to one another. Albeit during the worst part of Bodhi's life, Kimberly was his touchstone to what life could be for him on the other side of his recovery. She exuded positivity and gave him the strength to want to be a better person. This was an emotional and at times raw read. I love angst and desperation and this book gives you that in the best of ways. I love a good strong heroine (though she has moments of weakness, naturally) that is there to uplift a man when he is vulnerable and needing strength. I love it when the woman has the power to be the savior in the story.

Their written chemistry is fabulous, moving, and hot. The physical and mental struggles that Bodhi experiences during rehab is believable and you really feel for him. Kim's insecurities and inner turmoil are very organic and it's easy to empathize with her. I would definitely be recommending this book and look forward to reading the next book in the Virtuous Paradox series, Bang!
