LIAR LIAR

Blurb

For eighteen-year-old Becca Torrence, the chance to finish high school in a new town, where no one knows her or the secrets of that night, should be a dream come true. But when the first day of school rolls around, something is wrong.

Instead of being greeted with warm smiles and reassuring hellos, Becca finds herself on the receiving end of icy stares and cruel whispers. Putting it down to her status as an outsider, she holds her head high, because they can’t know.

They can’t.

Can they?

Determined to make her new life in Credence work, Becca is willing to do whatever it takes to fit in. Even if it means losing herself in the process.

A white lie can save you … Too many lies will break you.

Review by Anne Milne

Wow I didn't want to stop reading this. Once I started, it literally owned me.
Becca and her family have moved to a new town and she not only has to deal with moving and going to a new school, but fitting in with a whole new crowd of teenagers. I know I remember how hard it was - your emotions are all over the place and the author has managed to capture it perfectly.
However, Becca and her family are hiding something and whatever it is, it's big. They left their privileged lives, their home, their jobs, all to protect her. But what is it?
The girls at the school make mean girls look like angels. Bitchy, manipulative, scary, dangerous, vindictive - they are all of that and more.
She makes some new friends, but are they all what they seem? And Evan, I liked him he drew me in, but what's he hiding?
I hope we don't have to wait long for book 2.

Review by Becky Rendon

She thought the lies kept her safe.
She hoped they wouldn't unravel.
As they continue, they change her one at a time.
But as long as it all remains in the past...

Becca is learning that nothing is as it seems. Everything around her is spiraling out of control and she will never be who she was. She will never have that life again. Can she make do with her new life or will the past haunt her?

What an intriguing story! Anyone can understand the dilemma and the first slip... but Becca can't seem to stop lying. Trying desperately to fit in and distance herself from that night.

I am sooooo interested in seeing where this goes from here. Evan!!!!!!!
So much venting to do, but I don't believe in spoilers!!! Ugh, can not wait for book 2, Truth or Dare!
