Nerdy little Lucas grew up to a buff tattooed hottie. He isn't the small dork that was belittled and tormented as a kid. He's a billionaire entrepreneur with a soft spot for his childhood neighbor and crush.

Maxie married the wrong brother - even she knows it. She never had a chance... or so she thought. Circumstances change and now she's relying on her childhood best friend and lifelong crush for more than just emotional support.

But with guilt and mistrust high, will it ever be more? Will she ever get out of her husband's shadow?

I read through it quickly. I enjoyed it, not as much as Going Down Easy, but it was fun. I liked seeing the guys together again and seeing Lucas going down, but I was expecting a little more "umph" from story. But it's fun, flirty, and it keeps you entertained.

Enjoy it!

This review of Going Down Fast by Carly Phillips is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog

This is a sweet romance with suspense thrown in for good measure. It was a fairly quick read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I give it 4 Stars. It is actually the second book in this series, but it does not need to be read to enjoy this book. I hadn't read the first one either.

Sometimes second. Hanged so come along. But can they really work out? Will the past always get in the way? Are some things just impossible to get over? Lucas and Maxie have changed a lot since they were childhood neighbors. But something's never change. At times I wish we could have seen more into their past with each other and maybe felt their connection alil stronger. Even after so much time Maxie knows she can always depend on Lucas. This was a pretty fast read and I can't wait for the third book.
