Did you fall in love with The English Brothers? Were you hot for the Winslows?

Katy Regnery's Blueberry Lane series continues with The Rousseau siblings!

For as long as Madeleine “Mad” Rousseau can remember, she’s been the “sweet” twin to her sister Jax’s “sassy.” But after an especially painful break-up, Mad decides she’s had enough of being sweet. Children’s librarian during the day, she begins visiting Philly’s seedier nightspots on a quest for adventure and experience. When Cortlandt “Cort” Ambler, the ex-boyfriend of Mad’s sister, Jax, saves her from disaster on one such evening, an unlikely friendship is born between the rebellious librarian and the moonlighting pianist…and two broken hearts begin a journey toward being whole again.

Review by Becky Rendon

As is the case with all the Katy Regnery books I've read, this one ended with me smiling like a loon.

Madeleine Rousseau is the milder of the Rousseau twins. Her personality outside demeanor is more subdued than her twin. As a children's librarian, Mad dresses the stereotypical part. She does for others but rarely for herself.

Unlike most of the Blueberry Lane kids, Mad isn't trying to increase her portfolio, her wealth, or her bank statement. She uses her trust to support herself but also her pet projects at the library.

It takes one promotion to turn the life she thought she wanted upside down. It's seems though that fate or someone is looking out for the Rousseau twins because Jax found her way and though lost- Mad found Cort.

Well actually he found her...

Mad Rousseau, of all the gin joints...it seemed to fit! The one woman he could never get out of his head. The one woman he's wanted.

But lives, loves, and people are in the way...Will they fight for it?
Will there be a someday?

Sweet romance story about the kid next door all grown up. The difference is that sometimes grown up doesn't mean it's ok. With a past blocking their future, Mad needs to decide. Him or her twin?

It's very well written. The angst and anguish that Mad feels translates to the reader. I cried for Mad when she made a decision with Merit. It was heartbreaking. But I hope that I'll one day get Merit's story.

JONQUILS FOR JAX

Did you fall in love with The English Brothers? Were you hot for the Winslows?

Katy Regnery's Blueberry Lane series continues with The Rousseau siblings!

Jacqueline “Jax” Rousseau is vivacious, rich, smart and beautiful…but that doesn’t mean she’s lucky in love: she’s dated doctors, lawyers, actors and politicians who’ve all managed to end up disappointing her. In fact, she’s on a self-imposed hiatus from love when she has an unpleasant run-in with her neighbor’s gorgeous new landscaper, Gardener Thibodeaux. Jax is not accustomed to gruff, ill-mannered men that can’t be charmed, but something about Gard intrigues her, and if she can find her way through the armor that surrounds his heart, she also might find a love that won’t let her down.

Giddy nervous energy
Reluctant goodbyes
Fluttering butterflies
Longing looks

We all know what it looks like via movies, books, and photos. Some of us have been lucky enough to have experienced it. But one of my favorite ways is to read about it.

New love. Jax ran...from a life she didn't want. She ran...from an idiot chasing her. She ran...right into a Gardener. The sexiest gardener she has ever seen.

But will Jax keep running or will she grab what she wants?

Gardener is still getting the hang of Northern women and this brassy, bossy femme is more than her bargained for. But the fire in her eyes, the singing in his blood, and the sparks flying around them can't all be wrong.

I love love love meetings at weddings. It seems as though Jax prefers taking the road less traveled. If I were in her ridiculously tall golden sandals, I might have gone a different route. But then fate had another idea...

Hinduism for Jax is just more proof that Katy Regnery has a solid foundation and a formula that will always work. Her Blueberry Lane world makes one jealous and smiling all at the same time. I can't wait for the upcoming stories and the new families being added.
